A new wave of comment spam is passing through the Net at the moment, and because Peter's Mum's recipe is one of the most popular pages on our site, it's being targeted by comment spammers. As a result, comments on that page have been shut down.

But we're still interested in hearing from anybody who has questions about the recipe or the techniques in the video. This is where to post them.

substituting veal for lamb
Can anyone tell me if substituting veal for lamb in the Dingle Pie recipe will work? I do not have access to truly good lamb, but do have access to good veal. Thanks in advance.

Will anybody have a receipe for a fruit tart or as swiss call it -fruchtewähe-. I know that they make it with different kinds of fruits and veggies but I like the one with apples.Thanks!

Czech Republic: Horky bramborovy salat / Hot Potato Salad

      Title: Horky bramborovy salat / Hot Potato Salad
 Categories: Czech, Potato
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      3    Or 4 slices bacon, cubed
    1/4 c  Sugar
      1    Scant tablespoon flour
    1/2 c  Vinegar
    1/2 c  Water
      1    Egg
      1    Stalk celery, cubed
      1    Small onion, chopped
      2    Eggs, hard boiled
 
  Boil desired number of potatoes in skin until tender. Remove skins.
  
  Fry cubed bacon. Mix cup sugar and scant tablespoon flour and pour
  into bacon. At once add vinegar mixed with water: bring to a boil,
  cool.
  
  Add one whole egg, bring to boil again and beat vigorously so that egg
  does not curdle. Pour over sliced potatoes, cubed celery, onions, and
  two or three boiled eggs, sliced. Mix and serve warm.
