Ireland: Christmas Fare

Street scene on Dec. 17: shopppers crowd a side street near
Dublin city center's main pedestrian shopping area, Grafton Street

We've been getting a lot of Google searches over the last week asking questions like "What do the Irish have for Christmas dinner?" or "What do Irish people eat at Christmas time?"

We've taken a trip into Dublin city center to visit the butchers, bakers and gourmet food makers in Ireland's capital city and to get pictures that will give you an idea of what the Christmas experience looks like on the Emerald Isle, and what the average Irish shopper will be bringing home for the family's Christmas dinner. During January 2010 we'll post these pictures, as well as an article about some Irish Christmas food traditions in city and country.

Please bookmark this page and check back during January 2010 to see the article and pictures.
