The Faeroes: here they are
I can't believe no one gave you an answer to this, Fi.
The Faeroes are far north of the UK, about halfway between it and Iceland -- here's a map. The islands are part of the kingdom of Denmark. (Here's their Wikipedia page.)
Their food is very similar to that of many other remote Scandinavian areas. We're working on getting a Faeroese cookbook so we can post some recipes.
